Watching the World Pass by the Window
To live in such a secluded, almost utopian place, together with the girl I love most.
Looking back, I realize I have taken quite a number of photographs related to trains.
The images below are a small selection—some were taken today, some last year while traveling by train, and others date back even further, from years ago.
I still love living in a small courtyard most of all. Far from the noise of the city, far from disputes, far from unnecessary attachments.
Not far from the courtyard—about one kilometer away—there is a railway line leading to Beijing West Railway Station. Whenever my mood sinks, I walk along the tracks, step by step, walking until I no longer feel the need to go on.
They hurry past, crowded and restless.Watching their hurried footsteps somehow calms my own unsettled mind. I’m not sure what kind of psychology this is—haha. Perhaps it’s a quiet sense of amusement, like secretly glimpsing someone else’s journey.
The photos above were taken from my seat, looking out through the train window. Yes—just the window.
How wonderful it would be,when the years grow old,To live in such a secluded, almost utopian place, together with the girl I love most.
Why does it feel so hot here, as if summer never ends? I find myself missing the light snowfall of my hometown.
